Williford, living near Logton, a Confederate veteran, who did valiant service in Company 'F', 37th Alabama Regiment, died at his home yesterday, seven miles north of Troy on the China Grove road. He was buried at Union Church, of which he was a member, above China Grove, this afternoon.  He was 76 years of age and was the father of 14 children, 12 of whom, with the widow, survive him.   His death will be a source of much regret to his many old comrades and friends." (Union Church is located in Bullock Co, AL)
